Infrastructure Sector | Start ASAP
Are you a confident HR generalist who can hit the ground running? We’re recruiting a People and Culture Advisor for a busy contract role supporting a well-established business in the infrastructure sector.
Based in Mount Wellington, this is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys variety, can work autonomously, and is confident providing practical advice across a broad range of people matters. This role will support a defined business unit of around 85 employees and would suit someone who is comfortable operating in a standalone capacity while still being part of a wider national P&C function.
What you’ll be doing
In this broad generalist role, you’ll be responsible for supporting day-to-day people operations and providing trusted advice to leaders across the business.
Key responsibilities include:
- generalist P&C support across the full employee lifecycle
- advising on employee relations matters, including disciplinary issues
- supporting restructure and change activity
- onboarding and recruitment support
- coordinating training administration and scheduling
- partnering with leaders to provide practical and confident HR advice
- helping keep day-to-day people processes moving during a busy period
What we’re looking for
We’re looking for someone who is:
- an experienced HR/P&C generalist
- confident advising managers and guiding next steps
- comfortable handling employee relations matters and advising managers on ER issues
- organised, detail-focused, and able to stay calm under pressure
- self-sufficient and able to work with a high level of autonomy
- confident enough to push back and influence when needed
- available to start ASAP
