Do you know Sage Pastel Payroll inside out and enjoy solving problems, supporting clients, and building relationships that last? Then this could be the role for you.
A growing payroll and consulting business is looking for a Senior Sage Payroll Support Consultant to join their team. This is not a back-office processing role. They need someone hands-on, client-focused, commercially aware, and confident enough to manage payroll support while also identifying opportunities to grow accounts and bring in new business.
You’ll work closely with clients across payroll processing, compliance, system support, and consulting while becoming a trusted advisor to businesses that rely on accurate payroll and exceptional service.
What You’ll Be Doing
* Supporting clients telephonically and onsite with Sage Pastel Payroll queries
* Processing weekly, fortnightly, and monthly payrolls
* Managing EMP501 reconciliations and E@syFile submissions
* Assisting clients with payroll compliance and legislative updates
* Troubleshooting payroll issues and providing practical solutions
* Building and maintaining strong client relationships
* Assisting with administrative support where needed
* Identifying opportunities to upsell payroll packages, consulting services, upgrades, and additional support offerings
* Canvassing for new business during quieter periods
What We’re Looking For
* Minimum 10 years’ experience working on Sage Pastel Payroll
* Sage Pastel Payroll qualification is non-negotiable
* Strong knowledge of Sage products
* PCC knowledge is essential
* Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
* Experience working with E@syFile and payroll submissions
* Strong communication and client service skills
* Commercial mindset with confidence speaking to clients
* Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities
* Own reliable vehicle essential
* Matric and relevant tertiary qualification
