Senior Business Analyst – Financial Services / Contact Centre

A well-established and fast-growing fintech business is looking for a Senior Business Analyst to join their Product Portfolio team in Cape Town. This is a highly hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys getting into the detail, solving complex business problems, and working closely with both technical teams and stakeholders to drive delivery.

You’ll join a collaborative, fast-paced environment where your input will directly influence systems, processes, and customer-facing solutions across the business.

What you’ll be doing:

• Gathering, analysing, and documenting business requirements across multiple projects
• Working closely with developers, testers, product teams, and operational stakeholders
• Running workshops, stakeholder sessions, and requirement gathering activities
• Translating business needs into clear functional specifications and process flows
• Supporting delivery teams throughout the SDLC
• Investigating production issues and identifying opportunities for system enhancements
• Performing data analysis and working with SQL queries where needed
• Assisting testing teams to ensure solutions align with business requirements
• Acting as the bridge between business and technical teams

What they’re looking for:

• 5+ years’ experience as a Business Analyst in a formal environment
• Experience within financial services, fintech, lending, collections, or payments
• Exposure to contact centre environments and operational workflows
• Strong experience with requirement gathering, process mapping, and stakeholder management
• Experience working in Agile / Scrum environments
• Ability to work independently and take ownership
• Solid SQL skills for querying and analysing data
• Strong communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders across the business

Nice-to-have:

• Debt collection or credit environment exposure
• Relevant Business Analysis qualification or diploma
• Experience working on operational or customer servicing platforms
