We are looking for a driven, high-energy Account Manager to take ownership of a retail territory in Cape Town. This role focuses on identifying opportunities, building senior relationships within retail head offices, and selling value-driven solutions that improve business operations and customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage a strong pipeline of retail opportunities
  • Identify, target, and secure new business within retail organisations
  • Engage with key stakeholders (buyers, operations, IT, procurement, executives)
  • Present solutions clearly, linking features to business impact
  • Conduct needs analysis to uncover client challenges and opportunities
  • Drive the full sales cycle from prospecting through to closing deals
  • Build and maintain long-term client relationships
  • Achieve and exceed sales targets and revenue goals
  • Collaborate internally to deliver seamless customer solutions
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and market developments

Requirements

  • 3-10 years B2B sales experience (solution/consultative selling)
  • Proven track record in new business development and closing deals
  • Experience engaging with senior decision-makers
  • Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
  • Ability to build and manage a sales pipeline independently
  • Retail/FMCG industry exposure is advantageous
  • Tech/telecoms/digital solutions exposure is beneficial
  • Self-motivated, target-driven, and commercially astute
