We are looking for a driven, high-energy Account Manager to take ownership of a retail territory in Cape Town. This role focuses on identifying opportunities, building senior relationships within retail head offices, and selling value-driven solutions that improve business operations and customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage a strong pipeline of retail opportunities
- Identify, target, and secure new business within retail organisations
- Engage with key stakeholders (buyers, operations, IT, procurement, executives)
- Present solutions clearly, linking features to business impact
- Conduct needs analysis to uncover client challenges and opportunities
- Drive the full sales cycle from prospecting through to closing deals
- Build and maintain long-term client relationships
- Achieve and exceed sales targets and revenue goals
- Collaborate internally to deliver seamless customer solutions
- Stay up to date with industry trends and market developments
Requirements
- 3-10 years B2B sales experience (solution/consultative selling)
- Proven track record in new business development and closing deals
- Experience engaging with senior decision-makers
- Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
- Ability to build and manage a sales pipeline independently
- Retail/FMCG industry exposure is advantageous
- Tech/telecoms/digital solutions exposure is beneficial
- Self-motivated, target-driven, and commercially astute
