Job Title:
Sales Engineer / Pre-Sales Consultant (Construction Software)
Location:
Hybrid – Midlands (1 day per week in office)

The Role:
* Act as a key technical partner to the sales team, supporting complex software sales cycles across construction planning and project management solutions
* Work closely with senior stakeholders in client organisations (e.g. planning directors, project controls, and delivery teams) to understand requirements and shape solutions
* Deliver tailored product demonstrations, showcasing how the platform supports project planning, scheduling, reporting, and data analysis
* Translate complex construction planning processes into clear, value-led solutions for customers and prospects
* Support the development of proposals, tenders, and solution design, ensuring alignment between customer needs and product capability
* Collaborate with internal teams to improve product positioning, messaging, and overall go-to-market effectiveness
The Requirements:
* Background in a Pre-Sales, Sales Engineering, Solutions Consulting, or technical project-facing role within software, construction tech, or engineering environments
* Strong understanding of construction project planning, scheduling, or project controls (experience with industry planning tools highly desirable)
* Exposure to data-heavy, analytical environments within construction, engineering, or Tier 1 contractor settings would be highly advantageous
* Degree in Construction Project Management, Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or similar technical discipline would be beneficial
* Alternatively, experience within ConTech / SaaS with strong ability to quickly learn complex technical domains and construction workflows
* Strong communication skills with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders at senior level
* Comfortable working in a fast-paced, solution-led sales environment with multiple concurrent opportunities
The Process:
* 1st: Introductory conversation with senior leadership / hiring manager
* 2nd: Technical and solution-based interview including product walkthrough and scenario discussion
* 3rd: Final stage with wider leadership team and commercial stakeholders
*Rates depend on experience and client requirements
